Yesterday I was out of the house for a few hours because my granddaughter graduated from elementary school. My boys are so used to me being home with them and Tiger gets angry at me when I leave them for any amount of time. He doesn't like it even when it is just to take the trash barrel out to the sidewalk for trash pickup. But yesterday when I returned home I got a very warm welcome from Tiger. Unusual, but nice. He would not stop purring in my ear. And he was not asking for food. Very, very unusual! It made me feel loved and wanted. Thank you, Tiger. Mommy loves you.

I would love a quiet welcome home like that. Unfortunately trying to get in the door with five dogs frantic because Mommy left is not easy. I swear Artist can here me trying get through my door. Cocoa on the other hand, if I leave for longer than a day, I'm being ignored. The fish and the Guinea Pig could care less as long as they get their food.

Someday you will get the quiet welcome and wish it wasn't so quiet. LOL! My house has been quiet for over 3 yrs now and I still can't get used to it. But the warm welcome was a very nice treat for me. It's been a long time since anyone seemed glad to see me come home.
